Over a century of commitment to the community of Valletta: APS Bank Valletta branch re-opens

APS Bank celebrated its uninterrupted presence of over 100 years in Valletta by inaugurating the transformation of its Valletta branch on Tuesday, 5 December, 2017. The ceremony was presided over by His Grace Mgr Charles J. Scicluna, Archbishop of Malta.

Marking a new standard for retail banking in Malta, the new premises were designed to house numerous meeting spaces of different sizes and purposes, and a suite of digital tools offering a good blend of personal service and technology to APS Bank customers. The offices also include two levels which will accommodate the Bank’s Legal Office.

His Grace Mgr Charles J. Scicluna, Archbishop of Malta, during his speech stated that “The Bank’s ethos is to be very close to the people, to be friendly to its customers and is based on values”. 

APS Bank’s Chairman Frederick Mifsud Bonnici spoke about how the Bank has embarked on a strategy to grow responsibly, increase its position in the marketplace while strengthening its governance and risk management infrastructure. APS Bank’s CEO Marcel Cassar spoke about the future of the APS branch, and how it is moving away from simply serving customers to educating them through digital tools, assisting them through problem solving and enabling them make their own financial decisions. 

The APS Valletta branch at 17/18, Republic Street, is under the direction of Manager Mr Sinclair Cassar and is open for business from Monday to Saturday.
