The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into effect on May 25, 2018 with significantly strengthened regulatory requirements and corresponding high penalties. This hands-on session will provide you with a high level understanding of GDPR and will also provide you with a roadmap for implementation.  You will also be able to complete a snapshot readiness assessment during the session.

The seminar will cover salient topics for SMEs and Accountants and will touch on practical case studies related to employee personal data as well as client personal data. It will cover all aspects of GDPR including managing consent, record keeping, internal procedures that need to be changed, responding to data subject requests, privacy policies, governance, IT security and building up awareness.

The focus of the session is to provide a ‘practical’ approach to ensure GDPR compliance as well as to provide an in-depth understanding of the regulation and its impact on your business.
