Today's biggest vulnerability in the cyber- world: too-busy persons!
Date
26th July 2017
Time
09:00 - 12:30
Venue
Lower Ground (LG), Tower Training Centre, Swatar

Event Overview

The session will discuss the safeguard of data from a non-technical perspective, and will also focus on the smart phone as the best and closest data leaking platform.

We constantly struggle to manage and organise our commitments and agendas and digital platforms such as web-portals, cloud services and smart devices are an invaluable asset to assist us in this task. But unfortunately, we just trust on the security of these mediums without dedicating enough time to better understand what is required from our end in order for the necessary security mechanisms to be in place.

During this session, we will discuss and examine various techniques used by cybercriminals in order to get access to sensitive data which we possess for various reasons and purposes. This session will help us to gain a better understanding of how we should be using smart technologies without threatening the stability of the Information Security CIA triad, Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability of data.
